Confirmation and Deposits
When a provisional booking has been made, written confirmation is required within 14 days, together with a deposit of £750.00, which is NON REFUNDABLE. Lanteglos reserves the right to cancel any provisional booking not confirmed by the agreed date.
Payment & Settlement of Accounts
A payment of 75% of the estimated cost of the wedding is due 14 days prior to the event. The final payment together with any additional expenses are payable on the day or before departure.
Insurance
We recommend that you take out wedding insurance.
Receptions
There is a £1,000.00 Venue Charge for all Weddings at Lanteglos Hotel. If you are having both a Civil Ceremony and Reception at the hotel the charge is included in the Venue Charge.
Final numbers of guests attending the Wedding Reception should be confirmed at least 14 days in advance of the Wedding date [the guaranteed number] The charge to the client will be either the actual number attending the Wedding Reception or the guaranteed number, whichever is the greater.
Your reception can be as formal or as relaxed as you wish, we do not have any set routines or set menus as such, and are always happy to quote for any special dishes that you would like.
Civil Ceremonies
Both the Conservatory and Garden restaurant are licensed for Civil Ceremonies and can be hired whether you are having your reception here or not.. There is a £450.00 charge to hire the Conservatory and £600.00 for the Garden Restaurant for the ceremony. Your Civil Ceremony can take place anytime between 12.00 midday and 5.00pm.
Music & Entertainment
We must be notified of all music and entertainment that you intend to have on the day and retain the right to vet these acts/artists before granting permission. All music must end by midnight and in the case of Marquee weddings by 11.30pm.
Food & Bar
Only food and drinks purchased from the hotel can be consumed on our premises, “corkage” is not an option. The bar will close at midnight and we request that it be vacated by 1.00am. Wedding cakes can be used as dessert at a cost of £4.00 per person.
Marquees
Marquee weddings are very popular at Lanteglos we use Bodmin Marquee Hire, they will be very happy to provide details and prices.
There is an additional £1,000.00 charge to have your reception in a marquee.
Accommodation
When you book your reception at Lanteglos you must also book the 10 hotel rooms in the main house for overnight accommodation, unless you do not intend having any music. Rooms booked for wedding receptions automatically qualify for a 10% discount.
Fireworks
Unfortunately, our insurance company do not allow us to set off fireworks within our grounds.
Client’s Responsibility
The Client shall be responsible for the behaviour of their guests and any damage to hotel rooms/ property/ grounds, or theft from the Hotel, by any guest attending the wedding celebrations; this includes cigarette burn damage and water damage. For Health and Safety reasons, absolutely no use of the swimming pool is allowed after the start of the Wedding reception.
Cancellation
We realise that circumstances occasionally make this necessary. Any deposit will be retained or may be transferred to another date if the cancellation is made at least three months before the scheduled event. If the cancellation is made within three months of the function date an invoice for 30% of the lost revenue will be payable, less the deposit. A 100% cancellation fee will be charged should the function be cancelled within 7 days.
Prices
All prices published on our website and information pack are current at the time of going to print. Lanteglos reserves the right to amend food and beverage prices should costs increase substantially due to seasonal or other fluctuations for which prior notification will be given where possible. All quoted prices may be adjusted to allow for changes in either VAT or other Government taxes and currency movements.
