Built as a Rectory in 1847 and designed by Pugin, it has some beautiful architectural features; however as a consequence, the structure of the building presents some physical barriers to accessibility.

Whilst we are able to accommodate guests with limited mobility, we do not have facilities suitable for those guests who are confined to a wheelchair.

If you do have any special needs please do not hesitate to contact us before making a reservation so that we can endeavour to meet your requirements.

We welcome correspondence by phone, fax, letter or email. This document and tariff can be provided in a larger font.

Arrival
As you drive up to the hotel front entrance we have one marked disabled parking space opposite the front door. There are two steps leading to the front porch, which leads to swing doors into the main lobby. The sitting room is to the left and to the right is the Reception desk, which is all on the same level. There are chairs located close to the Reception counter and a telephone to summon attention should Reception be unattended. Assistance with luggage is available.

Toilets are situated two steps down four steps up

Ground Floor
The Bar is adjacent and level to the main lobby. Three steps lead down from the Bar to the Brasserie Restaurant. The restaurant furniture is freestanding and chairs with and without arms are available. The Brasserie can be accessed from the garden by two steps.

The Garden Restaurant is up three steps from the Conservatory and once again has freestanding furniture and the chairs are without arms. There is also level access to the Garden restaurant via the staff entrance from reception.

We can cater for a whole range of special dietary requirements including celiac, wheat/gluten free, vegetarian, diabetics. If you do have a special requirement please let us know and we will do our utmost to provide you with what you need.

Large print menus are available for both Restaurants on request.

Swimming pool
The pool is secured and completely fenced, to gain access a combination lock number is required – this number is available on check-in. There are concrete steps into the shallow pool and main pool.

Grounds and Garden
There are gradual slopes and paths around the hotel to gain access to all areas.

Bedrooms
Bedroom are located on the first and second floors.

First Floor
There is a wide staircase from the reception, eleven steps with a handrail on the left, then a turn and a further nine steps to the first floor. There are bedrooms to the left and through a fire door to the right, down four steps are further bedrooms.

Second Floor
Through a fire door on the right and up fifteen steps to the second floor are three bedrooms, which are attic style rooms with limited access.

Rooms vary in size, all ensuite, most with spa baths and some with larger bathrooms. Linen sheets, blankets and foam pillows are standard. Duvets can be requested. Please advise us before booking if you have any special requirements.

All rooms are equipped with remote controlled television and direct dial telephone we also have free wireless Internet access. Mobile coverage varies depending on your network and your location in the hotel.

All rooms are equipped with fire detection and alarm.

Cottage Suites
Thirty yards to the rear of the hotel entrance there are three suites. This building was originally the stables to the Rectory and have been altered to accommodate two ground floor suites and one first floor suite. They are all different; please ask for more concise details on enquiring to access which would be the most suitable to your needs. There is parking available directly adjacent to the Cottages.

General
Reception is manned from 8.00am until 10pm. Outside of these hours; emergency assistance can be gained by telephoning 102.

Guests requiring assistance in the event of an emergency must log details with reception on arrival.

The hotel only accepts service dogs.
